Mistakes Happen. When you are starting out to make money online, you need to educate yourself. There are a great many training opportunities out there including courses, books and videos. The choice can be bewildering. Consider taking a recommendation from a friend who is already in the industry if you are lucky enough to have one. Otherwise, you'll just have to "suck it and see," as they say. Of course, there is the chance that you'll come across one or two rotten eggs as you look for the best training platform out there but that is just life. You live, you learn. Life's not fair. However, when you do find the training programme that is right for you and you have made a decision I want to encourage you to stick with it. Give it a chance.

Are You An Opportunity Seeker? Don't be one of the opportunity seekers who flits from opportunity to opportunity looking for the next big thing. These characters are addicted to learning and are terrified that they are missing out on some magic button formula which everyone else must be using and they are not. Those push button formulas just don't exist and you'll never get results overnight when starting from scratch. Recognise this and recognise that you could actually be one of those people. If you are then you will need to change if you want to make a success of your business. Don't chase the impossible dream. Commit yourself to starting and running your own online business.

No One Likes A Quitter. Work with the training that you have signed up for (after all your due diligence) and take the action that is recommended within. Use their training tools and their advice forums. Use their instructional videos, regular webinars, money-making guides and attend their conferences. Get to know the people who also use that community and build relationships with them. Learn from these people and help them where you can. I'm telling you to get stuck in and actually use what you have paid for. Don't think to yourself "Oh this is too hard for me," "I'll never make any money at this" and give up. It is very easy to be disheartened in this business because you are often rather isolated from other like-minded people. Expect this and be prepared to recognise and confront your emotions when they arise. Do not get distracted from the task in hand.

Only "You" Can Make "You" A Success. You have made a decision to develop your online business using a particular training platform. Stick with it. If you have the attitude "I'll just join and see if it works" then it probably won't. You need to have a different attitude such as "I've joined this programme and I am going to make it work. It has to work!" If you adopt this attitude your mindset will flip and you will start to see things in a different light. Results will start to come as you believe that you can and will succeed. So don't start looking around for something easier and a quick fix when things don't appear to be going your way.

Distraction Spells Disaster. It's very easy to click on yet another glossy banner ad and fall under the spell of yet another wonderful product that promises you the world for only $50. The more of these you buy into, the more you will be distracted from your true goal of making money. You'll spend more of your time reading up on your lovely new product and figuring out how to make that work so you will lose focus. You can not concentrate on learning more than one thing at a time. Master one strategy before you move on to another. You need to learn to be realistic and "layer" your money making strategies on top of each other over a period of time to create a cumulative effect.

You have learned about how to focus yourself to achieve the results that you really want when you are trying to make money online. You know how to change your mindset to that of a real winner in this industry.
